Report: | About 1:30 - 5. Locked kayak at takeout and used Lyft to pick me up at the end, and shuttle me back to Naperville. Sun was out, water was very clear in most places, and it was enjoyable to see the bottom of the river pass with rocks, vegetation and many different kinds of fish. It was a very different sensation than the last few trips of turbulence and mud. Had an amazing NNW wind at my back most of the time, and along with a decent flow, there wasn't much paddling needed! A number of young kids were out on the river during summer break, riding tubes (on their devices) or just wading. This is a nice, easy stretch of river with lots to look at, and no obstacles. |
